years and years

it has come and gone. over a year since i have been blogging here. it feels irrelevant since i have been reading blogs and collecting photos for over 7 years now.

in any case, i thank you, all of you. for reading this. for providing me with photos. for fueling my inspiration. for the love i feel via comments and follows.

things are happening so fast. i can't keep up.

it's almost time for this too, how quickly did that happen? only a month and a bit before satc 2!

i don't care what skeptics have to say, i have faith this will be epic.

p.s. for those that don't know, big is the spokesperson for biotherm homme, where i now work. so we're kinda close now ;)

sorry, really, i am. i am getting used to my "new life". new job, new schedule, new eating habits, new classes...

throw in a computer on the fritz and there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to deal with it all.

a quick trip to florida for easter vacay and it is back to the grind folks! saving up some juicy pics to share with you all too so come back soon!! xoxo

ready, steady, go!

i have been unemployed for almost a year now. it was a struggle to remain positive and brave and hold out for that perfect solution. i tried a lot of different things. nothing that stuck. nothing that i regret.

starting monday, i am embarking on an exciting new chapter of my life. it happened quickly and very unexpectedly. i was hired for what is essentially my "dream job".

i would like to take a second to remind any of you out there who are in a similar situation, that you really have to never stop believing. i knew it was a matter of time. i didn't let others influence me. i didn't let the time that went by go wasted. and i stuck to my guns and waited (proactively) for it to come.

i now feel like i am in a totally different place then i was just a little under a year ago. i am truly ready for this life change. and i know that this blog is a part of that. thanks for sticking with me through the ups and downs. we're on a good streak now and i plan on keeping it that way ;)

my mom has been away for work for some time now and i miss her.

this woman reminds me of my mom, her looks, her intrigue, there is just something about her.

this is renee perle, model, painter and muse of famous french photographer jacques henri lartigue. most of these are his shots from the 1930s. i love her style, her jewelery, her hair!

have i told you i am taking a jewellery class? it's part of my *SPOILER ALERT* new project for 2010.

so far i LOVE the classes, despite the fact i am totally accident prone and have suffered several injuries already. next class, we get to start our ring project. so i know i want to a simple, stackable ring, but i am not sure what type, what finish, what metal...gah!

dog days are over

i was dogsitting my pup (he lives with mom and dad) for the past three weeks. i can't tell you how much i miss having my pup laying next to me as i type...

and of course, my pup, mr. fabio di fabio...he is a not as scraggly once he is out of bed ;)

i have been thinking of getting a feather tattoo for a while now, i had even planned the spot for it. then, well, this happened...

great minds think alike? they're beautiful but...tattoos need to be a bit more unique for MY body.

i was hiding out all weekend at montreal's annual 2-day music festival, osheaga. kinda dissapointed in the fashion but i think it had to do with the wonky weather. totally humid and hot on day one and then monsoon-like rains on day two. anyway, here are the music highlights:

arctic monkeys

harder than usual, maybe they are experimenting with heavier drugs? still, there is something about this young lad that makes me swoon every time i see them live...

you know the love i have for this woman. she was amazing live. the energy, oh man, you couldn't help but be hypnotized. and lil wayne AND tribe called quest covers? i was in heaven.

la roux

if you haven't yet, go download some la roux, she is hotttt. one of the biggest surprises of the festival, an amazing performance.

yeah yeah yeahs

oh, karen o. this is the second time i had seen them this summer (acutally, it was only two weeks before) and i can never get enough. she is amazing, what can i say!? one of my favorite bands of all time. epic performance.

oh, did i mention i was there with my boyfriend?

yup, adrian grenier (aka entourage's vince chase) was there performing with his band the honey brothers and i just happened to bump into him ;)
